Three ways to get incredible Tailchaser photo portraits of your dogs.
1) Check out our “on location” calendar on this site to see if there’s a Tailchaser “Photo Day” planned at a groomer, doggie daycare or kennel in your area*. You can make an appointment to have portraits taken there. This is your most economical option—and you’ll still choose from quality portraits of your dog.
*Many such businesses have already been sent our brochure inviting them to set up an on-site photo shoot. If there’s a dog-oriented business near you—let us know—so we can make sure they’re on our mailing list.
2) If the above is not an option, but you don't want the expense of a private photo session…create your own “Semi-Private” photo session!
Get 5 or more friends and their dogs together for a playdate at a park, beach or your home. I will go wherever you decide, and photograph each dog individually (and together if you like). We will customize a package depending on what each person wants. The added benefit of this option is that everyone involved will have a wonderful time. These sessions are FUN, you’ll love the photos we create, and you’ll still save quite a bit over a personal session. There must be a minimum of 6 people to schedule such a session. Sessions start at $125.
3) Would you prefer a private portrait session?
For some pets (and some owners), this is the best option. Often dogs are most comfortable on their own “turf”, without the distraction of other dogs. Where is your pet most relaxed and happy? That’s where we should shoot to get the best results.
I’ll begin by getting acquainted your pet, interacting a bit—so he/she will feel comfortable with me. A few test shots will let us know how your dog reacts to the camera flash, treats, and various sounds I make to prompt happy, animated expressions on that wonderful face.
The aim is for a stress-free, fun time for you and your pet. The portraits will happen naturally from the rapport and ease we achieve. I’ve never met a dog (or an owner) that didn’t (really) enjoy this process.
